Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that the idea behind the Pahalgam terror attack was to divide the society and the nation needs to stand united to defeat the motive of terrorists.
SRINAGAR: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that the idea behind the Pahalgam terror attack was to divide the society and the nation needs to stand united to defeat the motive of terrorists.
Gandhi arrived in Kashmir's capital Srinagar to meet the injured and also to get a sense of the situation on ground. He also expressed his party's support to J&K chief minister and lieutenant governor after meeting them in Srinagar.
"It has been a terrible tragedy. The entire people of J&K have condemned this and they have fully supported the nation at this time. I met one of the people who was injured. My love and affection to everybody who has lost their family members," Gandhi said.
At least 25 civilians and a local pony wala were killed when terrorists struck in the remote Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday.
