HISTORIC MAKA TROPHY VICTORY

Chandigarh University has made history as the first private university in India to win the prestigious Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy (MAKA), a testament to its outstanding sports infrastructure and commitment to nurturing talent. The MAKA Trophy, India's oldest National Sports Award, is presented to the top-performing university at the Khelo India University Games.

Chandigarh University clinched this remarkable achievement with an impressive performance at the Khelo India University Games 2024, securing 71 medals, including 32 Golds, 18 Silvers, and 21 Bronzes, topping the overall medal tally. Established in 2012, Chandigarh University is also the youngest institution to achieve this milestone.
