Winds improve air quality to 'moderate', mercury may rise

Delhi's air quality was "moderate" on Friday as strong surface winds during the day helped improve air quality in the region, officials said.
NEW DELHI:
The 24-hour average data available at 35 of the 39 ambient air quality stations stood at 156, according to the Central Pollution Control Board's 4pm bulletin.
Meanwhile, Gurugram recorded an AQI of 106 ("moderate"), which was on reaching "satisfactory" level-a rare sight-with further uptick.
CPCB also released Thursday's 4 pm reading, which was 210 (poor). The pollution control body had not released the data on Thursday as readings from only five stations were available till around 9pm on both CPCB's website and its mobile application, Sameer.
