THE CALCUTTA HC DIRECTED THE WBSSC TO PUBLISH OMR SHEETS OF ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPEARED FOR FRESH TESTS
The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) on Thursday released a list of 1,806 "tainted" candidates, who allegedly paid bribes to get jobs as teachers after failing the state-level recruitment test in 2016, officials familiar with the matter said.
The development comes seven months after the Supreme Court cancelled the appointments of all 25,752 school teachers and non-teaching staff (Group C and D) selected in 2016, citing WBSSC's failure to segregate the "tainted" from the "nontainted" candidates during hearings in the bribe-for-job case.
