Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday asserted that the current BJP-led government has delivered more developmental works in its first one-and-half years than the previous Congress government managed in its entire five-year tenure.
“We have completed 253.3 lakh (25.33 million) metres of farm fencing in just 1.5 years, whereas the previous government managed only 113 lakh (11.3 million) metres in five years,” Sharma said, adding that the BJP government's performance has been more focused and result-driven. Addressing a public gathering during the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight in Baler, Sawai Madhopur, he cited key statistics to back his claim.
Highlighting Rajasthan’s push towards renewable energy, the chief minister said 29,343 hectares of land have been allotted for green energy projects under his administration — significantly more than the 22,597 hectares allocated by the previous government.
