Three J&K MLAs Submit Private Members' Bills Seeking Liquor Ban

Three J&K legislators have submitted bills in the assembly seeking a ban on the sale of alcohol in J&K.
SRINAGAR:
The bills have been submitted by PDP legislator from Kupwara Fayaz Mir, AIP legislator from Langate Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh, and NC legislator from Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi.
Iltija Mufti shared the private members' bill on X, which PDP legislator from Kupwara Mir Fayaz submitted in the assembly.
"Alcohol consumption is ravaging lives across J&K and presents a grave threat to the very fabric of our society. Since 2019, the issue has been compounded by its easy availability because of the mushrooming of liquor stores. Kudos to PDP MLA @MirMohdFayaz for introducing a private bill seeking a ban on alcohol consumption. Much needed," said Iltija Mufti.
