PRAYAGRAU: A junior engineer (JE) anda sub-divisional officer (SDO) have been suspended for negligence following the death ofa contractual lineman due to electrocution in the Saifabad area under the Aspur Devsara police station limits in Pratapgarh
According to reports, Rajeev Kumar Gupta, a resident of Saifabad, was working as a contract lineman at the Dhindhui Power Substation under the Aspur Devsara subdivision in the Sadar division of Pratapgarh. On Tuesday, he was electrocuted while repairing a high-tension (HT) line in Basupur village.
Villagers and the deceased's family alleged that power supply was restored after a shutdown without informing Gupta,
