COP30: India commits to equitable climate action

India has welcomed several significant decisions adopted at COP30 including a work programme on the legal obligation for developed countries to provide financial resources to assist developing countries in taking climate action.

India also expressed strong support for the inclusive leadership of the CoP30 Presidency. It said that the leadership “which was rooted in inclusion, balance, and the Brazilian spirit of Mutirao, and has guided the CoP30 with integrity,” the statement said.
