1 More Body Found in Rudraprayag Accident; Toll Now 5

The body of a 19-year-old woman was recovered from Srinagar Dam on Saturday, which marked the third day of the search operation after eight people went missing as a bus with 20 on board veered off the highway in Rudraprayag and plunged into the Alaknanda river on Thursday morning, officers aware of the matter said.
DEHRADUN:
Eight people were thrown off the bus before it submerged in the river, and they were rescued, while three bodies were recovered on Thursday. One more body was found on Friday, they added.
The body of Mauli Soni, a resident of Surat in Gujarat, was recovered from Srinagar Dam, approximately 40km downstream of the accident site in Gholtir on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway, police added.
The rescue personnel who were involved belonged to the national disaster response force (NDRF), state disaster response force (SDRF), police and fire departments, they added.
