Aviation risks keep premiums firm, tigh
February 25, 2026
|Hindustan Times Delhi
“Any major crash leads to greater scrutiny of not only the airline involved but also the general safety standards of a (aviation) market by reinsurers.
This creates conditions for renogotiating terms for risk coverage even though risk wordings in the policy are generally standardised,” said Mathew Pannerselvam of Troth Broking Ltd.Monday's air ambulance crash in Jharkhand that killed seven people, along with last month's Learjet charter crash in Baramati in which Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar died, will further elevate risk perceptions, Pannerselvam said.
