251 AI crash victims identified, 245 bodies handed over to kin

A total of 251 victims of the June 12 Air India flight 171 crash have been identified through DNA matching, and 245 bodies have been handed over to their families, officials said on Sunday.
AHMEDABAD:
According to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital Superintendent Dr Rakesh Joshi, of the 245 bodies handed over to families, 176 were Indian nationals, 7 were from Portugal, 49 were from the United Kingdom, one was from Canada, and 12 were non-passengers who died due to the crash impact.
