2 Kuno cheetahs to get new home

Two adult African cheetahs at Kuno National Park in Sheopur will be moved to the Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary in Mandsaur district on April 20, officials said on Friday, adding that Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav will release the animals.

The government is also working on bringing four cheetahs from Botswana next month, officials said. The CM gave his approval for the release of the cheetahs on Thursday after the Cheetah Steering Committee and National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) decided to shift the two cheetahs last week.
