IN ANOTHER CASE, POLICE HAVE LAUNCHED SEARCH FOR MAN WHO SEXUALLY ASSAULTED A MINOR IN BELLARY DISTRICT
BENGALURU: A man was arrested in Bengaluru on Tuesday for allegedly raping and killing a five-year-old girl, police said. The accused is a migrant construction worker.
The incident was reported from Ramamurthy Nagar in Bengaluru on Monday evening when a 25-year-old worker from Bihar waylaid the girl, who used to live in his neighbourhood, and raped her.
"Kumar took the girl away at about 5 pm on Monday luring her with chocolates and sexually assaulted her. The young girl succumbed to her injuries during the assault," said Ramamurthy Nagara police inspector Kiran Kumar.
