POLL CONDUCTED TO GAUGE PUBLIC OPINION ON THE ISSUE OF 'INDIAN INTERFERENCE' IN CANADA'S INTERNAL AFFAIRS
NEW DELHI: Eleven Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members of legislative assembly (MLAs) on Saturday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Seven of the 11 senior AAP leaders had quit the AAP on Friday.
The leaders who joined the BJP on Saturday are Bhavna Gaur, Madan Lal, Girish Soni, Rajesh Rishi, Bhupender Joon, Naresh Yadav, Pawan Sharma, Rohit Mehraulia, Vijender Garg, Ajay Rai, and Sandeep Chaudhary.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said all these MLAs were deeply hurt to see that tickets were not distributed among dedicated workers and were instead sold to the highest bidders. In response, the AAP said that this time ordinary people from humble backgrounds were given tickets.
TORONTO: The majority of Canadians oppose the pro-Khalistan movement's activities in the country, while nearly three-fourths want policies to stop such an agenda from being carried out in its territory, according to a recent survey.
