Hindustan Times Amritsar

European and other Western leaders rallied around Ukraine on Saturday as they pushed to revise a US peace plan seen as favouring Russia despite its invasion of the country, saying that the US plan was a basis for talks to end the war but needed "additional work", part of Western efforts to eke out a better deal for Kyiv before a Thursday deadline, AP and Reuters reported.

- Agencies

Following their comments, US President Donald Trump on Saturday said the proposed peace plan is not his final offer. "The war needs to end one way or another," he told reporters on Saturday. But he said "no" when asked if this was his final offer.
