The Maha Kumbh, believed to be the world's largest religious gathering, concluded in Prayagraj on Wednesday, with millions of devotees taking a holy dip in the waters of the Sangam – the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers – on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
MAHAKUMBH NAGAR: The Maha Kumbh, believed to be the world's largest religious gathering, concluded in Prayagraj on Wednesday, with millions of devotees taking a holy dip in the waters of the Sangam – the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers – on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
As part of the closing ceremony of the mega religious event, Indian Air Force's Sukhoi fighter jets, AN-32 transport aircraft, and Chetak helicopters performed thrilling manoeuvres in the sky in the afternoon, enthralling millions present at the Mahakumbh Nagar – a makeshift 76th district set up for the 45-day grand fair.
