The centre is up for sale as part of a clear-out of assets owned by the collapsed Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust.

Concern has been expressed at this and other parcels of green space around the bay being put on the auction block by liquidators appointed to handle the trust's affairs when it declared insolvency last year.
