She said: "When I spoke to other women they were so naive and just assumed that there were baby loss facilities out there.

trigger to begin campaigning.

She faced delays from the Covid pandemic which also helped her move past grief and anger and channel those emotions into positive research.

"Because how barbaric is that: to make a woman go into a labour ward? All these women were as shell-shocked as me. I had noticed, as well, from talking to other women, it was all the same emotions we were feeling.

"I spoke to women from years ago, and I can't imagine how much harder that must have been back then. They can still smell the maternity ward. They can still hear babies crying.

"They're still traumatised by being in that situation."

She says spreading awareness has encouraged other mums to be more mindful - citing a friend who waited until she left the ward to become excited and enjoy her pregnancy scan news. She took to social media and tried to reach out to celebrities with lots of followers to help boost her campaign.
