'On VE Day we felt we'd helped change the world'

A CENTENARIAN has been sharing her memories of Victory in Europe (VE) Day in celebration of its 80th anniversary.
Eunice David was born on May 16, 1924, and is now aged 100. She was 15 at the start of World War II and 21 at the end of the war.
Eunice lived in Ely, Cardiff, before moving to Lee-on-the-Solent with her mum, dad and younger sisters June and Grace.
Eunice who now lives at HC-One Parklands Care Home in Bedwas, Caerphilly joined the Royal Navy and became a Wren (a member of the Women’s Royal Naval Service) at the age of 19, until the age of 21, which is something she is incredibly proud of.
