UAE reaffirms support for Lebanon's stability

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Wednesday with Joseph Aoun, President of the Republic of Lebanon, to discuss the close ties between the two countries and explore ways of enhancing cooperation for the benefit of their peoples.

The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi during President Aoun's official visit to the UAE. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Lebanese President and expressed his best wishes for his success in leading Lebanon towards greater stability, development and prosperity, and in restoring its vital role within the Arab world and the broader international community.

The two leaders reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern and exchanged views on the latest developments.

They underlined the importance of working together to promote peace and stability across the region for the benefit of all its peoples.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the longstanding ties between the UAE and Lebanon, underscoring the deep-rooted bonds of friendship, mutual respect and appreciation between their peoples.
