UAE flays hostile Iran attacks on Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain

The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms the renewed hostile missile and drone attacks by Iran that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed that these hostile attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the three brotherly nations and a threat to their security and stability.

The ministry reaffirmed the UAE's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and its support for all measures aimed at safeguarding their security and stability.

The State of Kuwait announced that its armed forces had detected 24 hostile drones within its airspace over the past 48 hours and dealt with them in accordance with established procedures.

Colonel Staff Saud Al Atwan, Spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence, said in a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the hostile Iranian attack resulted in limited material damage, with no reported casualties.

Jordan's Armed Forces said air defence systems, supported by Royal Air Force aircraft, intercepted and destroyed 20 missiles launched from Iran towards the Azraq area in Zarqa Governorate early on Thursday.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said the interception resulted in the fall of missile debris in the area, but no injuries or material damage were reported.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said that the air defence intercepted and destroyed Iranian aerial attacks.
