Summer health campaign to begin in Sharjah on July 3

A public-private partnership in Sharjah, that has institutionalised a summer health-and-wellness campaign, expands this year to include households and delivery personnel who have become an essential since the notorious Novel Coronavirus.

The widened reach, with a baseline of 10,000 throughout the emirate, was announced on Thursday by Ministry of Health and Prevention-Sharjah Representative Office director Mohammed Al Zarooni and Friends of Kidney Patients Association Board of Directors chairman Mona Al Hawai. They met the press for the 14th-year launch of the “Heat Exhaustion and Disease Prevention Campaign: Your Safety is Our Priority.”

With them at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry headquarters, were officials and representatives of government bodies such as the Sharjah Police and private health facilities.

The month-long campaign, commencing on July 3 (Thursday), comes at a time when media outlets all over the world, have become frequent carriers of research revealing catastrophic consequences of nature's wrath.
