PSCS pledges Rs2m for families of Pak martyrs

SHARJAH: In the spirit of unity and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan, the Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah (PSCS) organised a grand Community Iftar in Sharjah, bringing together a large gathering of distinguished members of the Pakistani diaspora. The event was attended by Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai and other top officials from the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, media and prominent business leaders, reflecting the strong sense of solidarity within the Pakistani community in the UAE.
Addressing the gathering, Hussain Muhammad thanked President of the Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah Chaudhry Khalid Hussain for hosting the grand party. He acknowledged the vital role played by overseas Pakistanis in strengthening the national economy.
He shared that during the month of February alone, the Pakistani community sent remittances amounting to $696 million underlining the significant contribution of expatriates to Pakistan's economic stability.
