Munambam to host 'Thank You Modi' meet over Waqf

KOCHI: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to organise a mega meet at Munambam, a Ernakulam district, the coastal area where over 6,000 families, mostly fishermen, have been protesting against the Waqf Board's claim over their properties, on Wednesday (9 April) to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for passing the Waqf Amendment Bill, which, they hope, will regain their ownership titles.
Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who presented the Waqf Bill in parliament, will be the chief guest at the event titled 'Thank You Modi'. Union Minister of State for National Democratic Alliance (NDA), according to BJP National Council member PK Krishnadas.
