Maid fined Dhs10,000 for mistreating child in capital

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Cases Court ordered a maid to pay DhsI0,000 in compensation to her employer, whose infant child she was responsible for caring for.

Surveillance footage revealed that the maid had treated the child harshly, causing him physical and psychological harm.

In the case details, the employer filed a lawsuit against the maid, demanding she pay Dhs51,000 in compensation for the material and psychological damage caused to his infant child, along with a 12 per cent delay interest from the date of the lawsuit until full payment.

He also requested she cover the court fees and expenses.
