Ipswich beat arch rivals Norwich for the first time in 16 years as Jaden Philogene’s superb long-range strike inspired a 3-1 win in the Championship clash on Sunday.

Cedric Kipre’s opener for Ipswich was cancelled out by Norwich’s Oscar Schwartau at Portman Road.

Philogene restored Ipswich’s lead with his thunderous drive from 30 yards and substitute Jack Clarke bagged the third goal as Ipswich bolstered their bid for promotion to the Premier League.

Kieran McKenna’s side now sit in ninth place, just two points adrift of the playoff places, as they look to atone for last season's relegation.
