Garage owner sues man for not collecting car after repair

The Al Ain Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases Court ordered an individual to collect his vehicle from an auto repair shop and pay DhsIO,000. The man had taken his vehicle to the shop for repairs, but refused to collect it due to a dispute over repair costs.

A car repair shop owner filed a lawsuit against a customer (the car owner), requesting that the court order the customer to immediately collect the disputed vehicle, which has a market value of Dhs20,000, from the repair shop's headquarters.

The customer was also required to pay Dhs50 per day for each day that he delayed collecting the vehicle, from the date of the legal notice until the vehicle was actually delivered. This would amount to approximately Dhs19,000 in total, and this amount would increase until the vehicle was collected.
