Dubai’s emergence as a top five global FinTech destination

LONDON: Dubai's rise as one of the world’s leading global financial centres has been further solidified with its recognition in the latest edition of the Global Financial Centre Index (GFCI). The success is attributed to the significant achievements of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) over the past 20 years.

The Global Financial Centre Index, published by Z/Yen in London, is widely regarded as the most credible ranking for the financial services industry. It rates 119 financial centres globally, based on assessments from financial professionals as well as quantitative data that forms instrumental factors in the rankings.
A total of 31,314 financial centre assessments were collected from 4,946 financial services professionals who participated in the GFCI online questionnaire. The rankings are updated regularly, with ratings changing based on evolving assessments and instrumental factors.
