Cloudy weather, rain expected on Sunday, says weather body

On Saturday evening, rain fell in the Thuban area of Fujairah, Al Dhaid and Al Madam areas of Sharjah’s Central Region, along with Masafi and Murbad areas of the Eastern Region, according to the Storm Center.

Rains are expected to continue in the eastern and southern regions today, Saturday, and tomorrow, Sunday, due to the country being affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the east, accompanied by an extension of a weak upper-level low-pressure system.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects Sunday's weather to be clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of some convective clouds forming in the eastern and southern regions, accompanied by rainfall.

It will be humid during the night and on early Sunday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or light fog formation.
