Akram declines to recognise Gohar Ali as PTI chairman

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has indirectly declined to recognise Barrister Gohar Ali as his party chairman, stating that only Imran Khan is its chairman and "no one else.
"Only Imran Khan is the party chairman, while the state of affairs and treatment to us from the Election Commission of Pakistan [ECP] is before all. All these are manifestations of coercion and all know what exactly the situation is," Raja told reporters.
He was responding to a question about who could be the next chairman after Barrister Gohar Ali appeared to be sidelined.
Meanwhile, Gohar Ali said that if the matter of negotiations has reached the level of a meeting of "five elders," then it should not be considered.
