Abu Dhabi activates 3 new traffic signals

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport announced the activation of three new traffic signals on Saturday, the first of which is on Al Manhal Street in Mohamed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi, while the second is in Al Riyadh City and the third is on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street in Tawam area of Al Ain.
The ITC stated that it aims to ensure smooth traffic flow by utilising smart transportation systems, including sensors, traffic control systems, and data analytics. These technologies enhance road network capacity, improve safety, and provide a range of services through traffic management, such as 24/7 real-time traffic data monitoring and regulation, detection and management of incidents and congestion at intersections, bridges, and tunnels, rapid response to accidents, public alerts on road conditions during emergencies and weather cha
