5 BJP activists held for attacking Tushar Gandhi

Police in Kerala have booked five activists of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party, including a corporator, for attacking Tushar Gandhi.
On Wednesday, protesters briefly confronted the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, shouting slogans against him as he returned from a meeting on the outskirts of the city. This incident prompted Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to issue a warning of potential legal action.
The protesters faced charges of unlawful assembly, rioting, and wrongful restraint, but the police released them on bail immediately.
Gandhi had called the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the ideological fountainhead of the Hindu nationalist party, a “cancer to the soul of the nation.”
