Mall of Emirates unveils Dh5b revamp

The Mall of the Emirates in Dubai is set for a massive Dh5 billion expansion, which will see a series of revamps, including the addition of 20,000 square metres of space and 100 new stores to one of the Middle East’s leading shopping and leisure destinations.

As part of this project, Dh1.1 billion has already been allocated to major enhancements, including a new wellness club, a cultural hub, a dining precinct, and infrastructure upgrades.

Growth potential

The mall first opened in late September 2005, with its iconic indoor ski slope serving as a key attraction. Since then, it has become one of Dubai’s most visited destinations. The owner, Majid Al Futtaim Group, clearly sees further growth potential with this ambitious expansion.
