Kyrgyzstan score late to hold UAE

A last-gasp goal by Kyrgyzstan saw them hold the UAE to a 1-1 draw in the AFC World Cup qualifiers at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek yesterday.

The scoreline saw Kyrgyzstan end their campaign on eight points while Cosmin Olaroiu continues to wait for his first win as UAE head coach with his side finishing on 15 points.

UAE who had already progressed to the playoffs going into the match showed the right spirit to take a lead inside half hour mark after Harib Abdalla struck.

But UAE’s lead was snatched in the stoppage time after Kai Merk scored in the 95th minute.
