Prayers, Quran recitation mark beginning of month
As the month of Ramadan began, Muslims around the world started fasting from dawn to sunset, entering a sacred period of worship, reflection and charity.
The ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar is marked by heightened devotion, with special nightly prayers, recitation of the Quran and acts of generosity forming the rhythm of daily life.
Mosques filled with worshippers for Taraweeh prayers, as communities gathered in spiritual solidarity.
