Can insurance company reject claim if vehicle catches fire?

A month ago, my car caught fire while I was driving on the highway. However, the insurance company rejected my claim for compensation on the basis that the fire was a result of the engine oil not being changed, according to their investigation. I had got the car serviced at the authorised service centre just a month before the fire. Is the insurance company's stance legal? If not, what legal recourse do I have?

The insurance company is obligated to pay the value of the vehicle if the comprehensive insurance coverage includes fire.
