Police detain wife and mother-in-law after groom's throat is slit weeks after wedding

In a disturbing repeat of the Meghalaya honeymoon murder, a newly-wed man in Andhra Pradesh has been found dead just weeks after his wedding — and his wife and mother-in-law have been detained in connection with the case.

His wife Aishwarya and her mother Sujatha have been detained, and police have launched a murder investigation.

According to Deccan Chronicle, unidentified persons lured Tejeswar to conduct a land survey in Panyam, claiming they needed his services for a 10-acre plot. Once there, the assailants killed him by slitting his neck.
