AN expat living in the United Arab Emirates says he has been filming missiles exploding in the skies above his home.

Gordon Mckay, originally from Grimsby but now living in Abu Dhabi, caught footage of strikes from his rooftop terrace.

In one video, the object explodes into an orange ball of fire. There is a brief trail of smoke, then it disappears, with Gordon saying the majority fall harmlessly into the desert.

Gordon, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for 13 years, said he feels confident in the military capability of the UAE to intercept missiles from Iran.

Speaking on Tuesday, he said evening or early morning is "normally the time they chose to strike".
