Centre outlines progress on hydropower, solar energy development in J&K

The Government of India is implementing major hydropower and renewable energy initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen power infrastructure and promote clean energy, the Union Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Naik, informed the Rajya Sabha on Monday in a written reply.
The minister said that NHPC Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, is implementing four major hydropower projects in J&K with a total installed capacity of 3014 MW through joint venture companies with
