Man took money for wood burners then made excuses
July 03, 2025
|Gloucester Citizen
A MAN left customers thousands of pounds out of pocket after failing to supply wood burners as promised.
Trading standards officers first received complaints about Daniel Hatton, who also used the business name DH Woodburners, in July 2020.
Their investigations revealed a pattern where Hatton met with potential customers between September 2019 and August 2020 - taking a 50 per cent deposit to supply and install a wood burning stove, but never doing the work.
