Ofsted hails private special school

In a report published this month, inspectors said that the Fromefield Manor School is a place where “pupils start to thrive’

The school, which charges annual fees of up to £120,150, is registered to support up to 30 pupils aged between 11 and 19.

Most pupils have had difficult experiences with school before enrolling at Fromefield. “Most pupils have had unsuccessful placements or lengthy absences out of education before they arrive at Fromefield Manor School. In a short space of time, pupils start to thrive,’ the report said. “Staff take the time to form trusting relationships with pupils, getting to know what interests and motivates them. This individualised approach is the linchpin of the school’s success. It quickly makes pupils feel safe, well cared for and ready to learn.”
