RPSC REINVENTED: NOW 10 MEMBERS, MERIT-BASED PICKS
In a significant move aimed at reforming the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), the Bhajan Lal-led state government has decided to increase the number of commission members from 7 to 10. This marks only the second time since its constitutional establishment in December 1949 that the Commission's member strength has been expanded. Initially comprising five members, the Commission saw its first expansion in June 2011, when the number was raised to seven, excluding the Chairperson.
