Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, during a meeting with a Japanese parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Nukaga Fukushiro, underscored the need for democratic nations to unite against terrorism.
He emphasised that terrorism poses a global threat beyond national borders and called for a collective, resolute response grounded in mutual trust and international norms.
Birla appreciated Japan’s condemnation of the recent Pahalgam terror attack and its strong support for India’s fight against terrorism.
