Chinese new rare earth curbs to raise prices of EVs, chips

THE LATEST CHINESE curbs on exports of its technologies and equipment will lead to an increase in the prices of electric vehicles, wind turbines and semiconductor parts, according to a report by Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI).
The US reaction to the curbs, imposing 100% additional duties on imports from China could, meanwhile, create a small window of opportunity for Indian exports.
