A FEW YEARS ago, Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMWX7 and Audi Q7 were the ultimate in luxury SUVs. But then the Q8 arrived, and the Q7 appeared to have lost its crown. Is it so, or has it become more lucrative? I drove the new model in Delhi.
What's the Q7?
The Q7, with three rows of seats for seven passengers, is actually bigger than the Q8 (two rows, five passengers). There are two variants — Q7 Premium Plus for ₹88.66 lakh, and Q7 Technology for ₹97.81 lakh. The Q8, on the other hand, costs a hefty ₹1.17 crore.
