UNDER THE FFS, AIFs receiving support are required to invest at least twice the amount committed by the government.
"This (new FFS) will be different from the first one. We will frame the scheme in such a way that fund mobilisation will be 20 times the size of FFS," Sanjiv, joint secretary in DPIIT, said.
The Budget also announced an FFS for deep-tech startups to enable patient capital, support disruptive innovations and for funding of larger ticket sizes. "We will explore how we will bring FFS for deeptech startups as it requires long-term funds," Bhatia said, adding that consultations with the stakeholders are on for a deep-tech startup policy.
