11th Meet for Asean-India Trade Pact in Oct

INDIA AND ASSOCIATION of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) will meet in October for the 11th round of talks in the ongoing review of their goods trade agreement.

The two sides have covered some ground in a meeting here Thursday evening.
In the 10th round of talks that went on from August 10 to August 14 in New Delhi, the joint committee for the review of Asean India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) focused on advancing the review to enhance its effectiveness, accessibility, and trade facilitation capabilities. The 11th meeting will be held at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia, and will be hosted by Malaysia. Both sides are aiming for the 2025 deadline to complete the review.
