Council to sell 'ransom strip' so that affordable homes scheme can start

Permission exists for homes on the land off Pendragon Road in Beacon Heath, but in order to get into the field, the developer needs to use a small piece of land owned by the authority.

A year ago the council opted not to sell it, prompting the would-be developer to hit back with a judicial review into the decision. That hearing is due to take place next month.
