One idiot protester won't ruin four years of hard work, says Starmer

SIR KEIR STARMER insisted today he was not going to be deterred by one “idiot” protester after four years of work to bring Labour to the cusp of power.
In a round of interviews the day after the glitter protest interrupted the start of his keynote address to the Liverpool conference, the Labour leader stressed his determination to remake Britain over a decade-long project of “national renewal” if he becomes Prime Minister.
“I was thinking to myself ‘I’m not going to let this idiot ruin four years of work’,” he told ITV’s Good Morning Britain. “This conference was our chance to put the positive case for Labour. And that’s why I took my jacket off, rolled my sleeves up and got on with it.”
Labour is reviewing security arrangements after the protester was able to storm the conference stage and pour glitter over Sir Keir.
