Coats and 'Carly' dresses help Hobbs look smart as Whistles profits also rise

WOMEN'S fashion chains Hobbs and Whistles have defied high street gloom with improved sales and profit.
Accounts filed at Companies House this week show turnover at Princess of Wales favourite Hobbs, above, which was founded in London in 1981, jumped 13.9% to £129.3 million in the year to March. Pre-tax profits rose to £11 million from £6.4 million.
